We had tech use the Manual Archiving feature of Outlook 2003 to create a series
of PSTs of an oversized mailbox in preparation of moving the contents of the
mailbox to a new domain. (Two companies with SBS have merged and going to use
just one server.) Unfortunately they were a little overzealous and also used
the feature to make the PST of the remaining information in the inbox that was
to be transferred to the new server. Of course all of the information that is
supposed to be in the exchange store is now in the last archive PST. All except
the last 3 weeks of email in the Inbox.

Of course we're talking about an inbox with over 10K items in it, but for some
reason the latest three weeks of information in the folder known as Inbox is
gone, and unfortunately the server in question overwrites it's backups every
night so I don't even have a working backup to do a restore from. I tried doing
an Ex-Merge on the off chance that information may just show up, but that didn't
help.

Is there anybody who knows where this data might be, or do I just call it
"Lost"?
