No, it doesn't. Windows 7 comes in both Ultimate and Enterprise editions which
still have the same sets of rules around them that Vista did (you cannot
upgrade from Ultimate to Enterprise for instance). You should only have access
to Enterprise if you have Software Assurance. Windows 7 from MSDN will have the
same rules and limitations as any other software that is downloaded from MSDN.
I have used both Ultimate and Enterprise versions of Windows 7 and have found
no differences as far as the software is concerned, so I would highly suggest
NOT using Ultimate in a business environment where Enterprise will be used
simply due to the fact that you cannot upgrade to Enterprise at a later time.

Tim

Subject: MSDN Licensing

Happy Friday,

We currently have MSDN benefits under our SA licensing
contract. If I download an O/S and the corresponding license key (says Retail
when I generate one) from MSDN, does this come with any limitations, such as an
expiration date or functionality? In this case, I am looking to grab Win7
Ultimate 64-bit. When I go into MVLS, we do not have that as an available
download, only Enterprise.

TIA!
