Don't you get a "special" key to use for software licensed through eOpen? With software downloaded through MVLS, it does not ask for a key during the install, but you do have to enter one after the install is complete to make it "genuine". I believe it will start to prompt you for it after 3 days.

For Vista images obtained through eOpen for an "Open Business" agreement, I've found that the installer refuses OEM Product Keys.
