I wish I could help you with that I do know DFS works but my group is too small to make much use of it. I used it in the past (2003 both sides) to assist me in a file server migration but it did have issues, like failing under heavy load. Until I need it again I will not be using it we are now on a single virtual file server (2008). I hope at some point to use it to duplicate our virtual machines to a backup server but at this point that is months out and I have not yet started the research on that.
