I use this for logging into firewalls/switches/routers with my laptop as my
laptop only has USB ports. I have had no issues with it on XP or VISTA

Subject: Semi-on-topic: USB to Serial adapters

Anyone got a recommendation for a good USB to Serial adapter? I've gotten
two from Radio Shack. One worked fine, the other was junk. Supposedly the
same thing, but only one worked for what I needed. What I want to do is hook
up both my AS/400 console cable and my firewall cable at the same time. Both
require a serial port and my PC only has one serial port. I believe I
probably need something with a 16550AFN UART so I can do hardware flow
control.

Thanks,
