MDT 2010 is an awesome product, or should I say "accelerator". Lots of dev and bug work have gone into it.
---------------------------------------- We use BDD2007 here, but we're not getting the full functionality of it as were still on XP. Have a standard image and the option of installing extra apps as part of the deployment is a major time saver. Recently installed 2010 on a test server and plan to upgrade in a month or 2. The option for keeping different servers in sync will be a major time saver here as we have it installed on 9 sites. Used together they make it quite simple to install Windows 7 to new hardware, or to existing systems whether they are Vista or XP. They also allow for configuring BitLocker as a part of the OS load and installing apps either as part of the image or on an as requested basis during installation. Tim From: David W.
