MDT 2010 is an awesome product, or should I say "accelerator". Lots of dev
and bug work have gone into it.

----------------------------------------

We use BDD2007 here, but we're not getting the full functionality of it as
were still on XP.

Have a standard image and the option of installing extra apps as part of
the deployment is a major time saver.

Recently installed 2010 on a test server and plan to upgrade in a month or
2.
The option for keeping different servers in sync will be a major time saver
here as we have it installed on 9 sites.

RE: Windows 7

----------------------------------------

Take a look Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2010 and the Windows
Automated Installation Kit (WAIK), which are both free downloads from
Microsoft. Used together they make it quite simple to install Windows 7 to
new hardware, or to existing systems whether they are Vista or XP. They
also allow for configuring BitLocker as a part of the OS load and
installing apps either as part of the image or on an as requested basis
during installation.

Just wondering how everybody is going to deploy this once they have
finished testing it?
