Deck them out with processors, memory, OS of choice. Get the SAS/SATA controller(s) you like, (Adaptec, LSI, Areca, whatever) and fill it with 8 server grade 2TB hard drives... then wonder what you're going to do with your extra $10k+. I mean, sure... you're going to have problems with it. But you'll have problems with any hardware, even the HP units. There was a recent thread about the Sun storage system and why it was better in many situations than the less expensive BackBlaze unit. I have no problem with a Sun salesman justifying his company's hardware. And I have no problem with a company spending the serious cash for a "Enterprise class" solution.
