This isn't a brand X vs Y issue, it's a lack-of-clue issue. The time to do a full AV scan is not at user logon. It's at night, at 3 AM, when nobody's using the PC anyway. Even if one must cater to clueless demands to not let an "unscanned PC" on to the network, then it should happen during computer startup, not user logon.
