I know nothing much about sharepoint but I know on noticed on one of my servers
the ability to add it as a role or a role service. Where might I have seen that
as I cant find it now? :-\

Like I said it has be a while (maybe 3 years ago) that I setup a test
Sharepoint server. Blogging was not even available in the free version at the
time. You could import Word documents though and I seem to remember linking to
them. The paid version had many more features but I could not get the free one
at the time and did not go further once the test was deemed a failure (despite
many of the management people wanting it). There was a free download specific
for running a Help Desk out of Sharepoint that looked real nice. Before you
get the wrong idea the failure was based on 2 factors not really Sharepoint
related. Factor one was that there was no pass through authentication for
Mac's and factor 2 was we were not at that time on Exchange and had a split
email system. I had to run an internal POP/SMTP server that the SharePoint
could talk to, email going out to the world was handled by others and was on a
SendMail server which during peak times could barely stay up. Internal email
could not get out to the world.

I see there is email-to-sharepoint mechanism of some kind, maybe this is
the way?

It has been a while but have you told them to past the picture (screen
shot) into a Word document and include that in their post?

Sharepoint 2007, quick install, initial impression.

Good set of option, simpler to maintain than 2003.

Now: if I want users to be able to post "incidents" that include
screenshots, would that be a discussion?

        Nope, no image paste.
        Same with most other choices.

        Any thoughts?
