Ok. I was about to say "yes you can turn off Word as your editor" but before I actually sent that, I checked, and you're right. Microsoft has added the Word editor as the built-in editor for Outlook as of OL2007. Might it be the option to use Word as the email editor in Outlook that is causing it?
