Depends on which organization. For some organizations 

Senior System Engineer =   Takes long lunches
                           Attends lots of meetings
                           Speaks in acronyms nobody understands
                           Delegates all work to subordinates

If I come to you asking for a promotion to a Sr. Systems Engineer, what is
some of the criteria you're looking for? I'm not 100% sure we have a
different job description between Systems Engineer and Sr. Systems Engineer
here...

I have a long list of proven accomplishments, but how do I know what's
expected as normal work and what's worthy of presenting as "here's why I
should be promoted"? I've been with NWEA for 3 years but have been doing
the sysadmin thing for 15.
