I thought I had picked the "Network" option. Will go back and try again.
Thanks.

With the migwiz.exe tool, you can save to an external drive or network
location, you don't need to connect box to box.

Where can I find USMT 4.0? can not find it on MS download site.

I had downloaded the Easy Transfer from MS and installed
it on the XP box. Is the one on the Lenovo laptop different?

You can copy the tool from the Lenovo to a USB
key...sorry it is migwiz.

I don't have the Win7 disk. Lenovo did not
include the media, Win7 is preinstalled on the new laptop. The Easy
Transfer wiz is just in a "trying to connect" mode.

Yes it works, as long as you use the migtool
from the win7 disk.

Has anyone got Windows Easy Transfer to
work going from XP to Win7? I am trying to transfer from a XP laptop to
a Win7 laptop.
