I worked for a University research facility wifi was done only for outsiders and the cost was to be less than $100 for all buildings (4). I ran about $20 over but only had 2 working building without full coverage. Roofs and walls supports were metal and the wiring for one as mid 1980's with over head lights producing a lot of interference. One of the 2 even had a huge RF generator in it so you could not get much worse. Both worked as long as they could get a signal. Run times depending on if the Bluetooth was enabled and how the screen was set to dim. It was not a manufactoring plant but it was sure dirty and dusty in one to them.
