Personally, I'm waiting also, but for different reasons. Just finished deploying Vipre Enterprise last weekend on March 27th, McAfee contract expired on March 28th.....nothing like cutting it close eh?
My next project is to migrate from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. After that, I'll take a look at upgrading to Vipre 4.0. I don't anticipate it being a very big deal, we choose to go with full blown SQL 2005 with our install of 3.x so there will be no database issues for us to be concerned about. I think that the 2 major issues that people had with the upgrade have been resolved. One was a bad upgrade file that has been replaced, the other that I noted were issues with the change to full SQL, and I think a lot of those issues were user induced rather than Sunbelt's fault. Read the upgrade instructions before starting the process ;) On Fri, Apr 2, 2010 at 6:59 AM, Richard Stovall <[email protected]> wrote: > Many different opinions and strategies to answer those questions... > Your best bet is likely to ask over at the Vipre support forums. > > > http://supportforums.sunbeltsoftware.com/categories.aspx?catid=27&entercat=y > > Personally, I'm holding off for a number of reasons, not the least of > which is that I'm about to be gone for almost 2 weeks and I can't risk > an avoidable disaster while I'm 11 time zones away. > > RS > > On Fri, Apr 2, 2010 at 7:47 AM, John Aldrich > <[email protected]> wrote: > > Are the bugs worked out of Vipre 4.0 yet, or should I hold off on > deploying > > it?
