  You are correct in that I'm using no metric.  My stance is
qualitative, not quantitative.  If that makes it invalid in your eyes,
so be it.

  Perhaps not, but it does mean the quality of *usage* of the English
language on this list is not very good.  I expect that's not a
problem, given that this is a free and rather informal discussion
list.  If I were paying tens of thousands of dollars for this list,
I'd expect more.
