Not surprising, that. I think there's a major missing element in Offline Files as implemented on Vista/7, in that, if the server is "out there" and appears available, but going online fails, there's no indication of the attempt to go online nor the failure reason presented to (or easily discovered by) the user.
I guess MS has some rationale for not doing that, but I sure can't fathom what it might be. Carl -----Original Message----- From: Matthew W. Interestingly enough, it returned with a 2221 error: "User cannot be found". Doing a search on that error lead me to a forum of somebody having a similar problem, and the fix was to remove the entry in "Stored User Names and Passwords". The equivalent in Windows 7 is "Manage Credentials". Checking on this for the user, there was an entry to connect to the server\share as "DOMAIN\ USER". Notice the space... After deleting this credential and a logout, everything worked perfectly. I always feel weird replying to my own emails.
