Oh, yeah... I seem to remember something like that at my grandfather's office.  
It looked like a computer without a screen and made a "clicky
- clacky" sound when the keyboard was used.

And they had a phone with no buttons, just a round wheel, and it was connected 
to the wall with a wire.  Odd!
