Great! I didn't really realize that, but I do know that no one product takes
care of everything, including (unfortunately) Vipre! I'm VERY happy with
Vipre, as it seems to be better at catching stuff before it can get
installed than AVG ever was (we used to use AVG here) and it's got a smaller
"footprint" in memory! None of our machines are "old and slow".well, most
aren't. J That being said, it's nice to know we don't have to put 3 Gigs of
memory in a machine just to satisfy our Anti-Malware product! J

I think I can add something here. FAFAIK, Malwarebytes is something of a
'point'

solution in the sense that they specialize in removing trojans, and only
trojans,

but they are very good at that. They are not a generalized malware scanner

that does AV, rootkits, and all other malware like VIPRE.

MalwareBytes is predominantly a Spyware/malware scanner. It's used
primarily for removal if you're already infected. I think the pay option
has an active scanner with it, but since most people have active scanners
it's not used as often.

Between Malwarebytes and your usual AV scanner? Does it make sense to have a
desktop AV -AND- Malwarebytes?
