True. I tried to install an "optional" video driver update for an on-board 
nVidia graphics card in our new Vista system. The updated drivers refused 
to load, and I couldn't override the with the drivers downloaded from 
Dell's website, so I ended up completely removing the driver and letting 
Windows Vista re-detect. I've had this sort of problem since Windows 9x 
days. I knew better, but I thought I'd give it a chance. :-(
