I have never heard of the 5505. I think they always have pushed the monstrosity on us. What are the size limitations/expectations for that unit? I will go google it.
We have several Sonicwalls in two other sites and have never had issues with them. They are not completely feature rich but offer IDS capability for a cheap price.
