I saw an advert for Panasonic's new toughbooks last night and decided to have a look and while doing so remembered your post when seeing their offering for the "Healthcare Environment" : http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/ultra-mobile-rugged-mca-toughbook-h1.asp "with hot-swappable twin batteries" which l found interesting. >From their FAQ : What are the benefits of having a hot-swappable battery? The hot-swappable battery design allows users to replace batteries without having to shut down or dock the unit, eliminating downtime and allowing for non-stop computing.
