If you are talking "Windows XP Mode" as implemented as a Virtual PC
virtual machine from MS, then no... the registries are not shared.

Subject: Win 7 and Virtual XP registry

Hi all,

Need some help....and question. Does Win 7 Pro and windows XP virtual
mode share the same registry? I have an app(1) that I tried installing
on the Win 7 side but ended up not being Win 7 compatible so I installed
it on the Win XP Virtual side and it works great. We are having a
problem with another app(2) on the win 7 side and I think it has to do
with the app(1) that couldn't be installed on the win 7 side so I'd like
to clean up the registry but don't want to impact the win xp side. Is
there a part of the registry dedicated to the Win Xp virtual side?

Thanks, Robert
