I hit that limit a lot if when consolidating multiple PSTs :( There is a tool I used to combine them... can't remember the same - but it also had the ability to fix them as well.

One user 20GB pst and can no longer use it and I have had to create a second PST unitl I can find a way to compact the PST's on the server.
