Would this work for you? I don't know about logging, but it is hosted, so you would only have to pay a monthly fee. You don't have to have a Cisco infrastructure in order to use it. You would only need Cisco if you wanted IP phone and/or soft phone integration...and it can connect from behind a firewall without any issue.
