Ok, so I left off the "e" on PCIe, but it was implied when I said laptop and Intel 5300.
Yank out the old PCIe, and put in an Intel 5300 or 6200. If the laptop does not have three antenna wires and only has two, go with an Intel 3945 (a/b/g). Jonathan L.
