The only thing built-in is Sync Center, but it's just the newest variation
of Offline Files.  Typically only works with file shares, but it may work if
the stations shared out a folder and then you set it to available
off-line...but I think that may set off some kind of infinite loop of
synchronization.

Lots of 3rd party stuff to do this, as you've already mentioned.
