I am not quiet sure why they have the port number in there.

I just did a upload of a 3.36MB file and it took, less than 1-2 secs max,
both on Windows 7/XP ( actually it was less than 1 sec)

I did disable the following on the Windows 2008 server per this thread.

RSS,TCP Offload and NETDMA.

Information about the TCP Chimney Offload, Receive Side Scaling, and
Network Direct Memory Access features in Windows Server 2008

Here is the thread:

Honestly, I think this is a MAC OS issue or bandwidth limitations at the
PC side, because I am not seeing it from multiple places transferring
files from the XP/Windows 7 side.

I just wanted to bounce it off the group since I am no MAC Guru and
don't care to be.

Why do they have that port number in there? I connect just using
smb://server/sharename w/o a problem. Speeds are a little slower than
Windows to the W2k3/2k8 server but are fast enough that I've never had
issues.

I got a analyst of mine saying that saving files to a Windows
2008 server on the network is very slow, they are trying it via
smb://IP_Address_Of_server:139/sharename

Has anyone that is supporting MAC OS and Windows 2008
connections in their organizations seen anything accordingly down these
lines. I don't have these problems with Windows 7 or Windows XP...
