Sat through an EQL sales pitch earlier this week (they paid for lunch in return, which is why I went). One thing he said was they have or will soon have hierarchical storage, so the busiest blocks get stored on SSDs, the next busiest on SAS, and the least used on SATA, and automagically migrate blocks as demand changes.
