In my experience, multiple channels in an enterprise RAID card means
separate paths for traffic.  Especially for higher end cards.

Thus, the advantage of multiple cards in such a scenario will not be
performance, but the ability tuip more quickly recover if a  particular card
dies.

So, be sure your since card has multiple "channels" and you should be fine.
