No good deed ever goes unpunished. The expressed skepticism *could* prompt you to test a restore *BEFORE* it possibly proves to be a critical failure to VERIFY that the restore function works as you expect. I have in the past seen folks lose their jobs from inability to perform a restore within claimed timeframes for failure to test prior to critical needs, where exceeding the planned and communicated restore window had a major negative impact on business operations.
