Some GPO settings remain when the policy is removed. I would create a file system policy to reset that folder back to the original settings

I'm testing an updated policy and I inadvertantly added the %SystemRoot%\System32 directory with incorrect permissions. I'm able to reset the permissions on the test server this policy is applying to, however, even after deleting the System32 directory from the GPO, the permissions are still being reset after a reboot, gpupdate, normal refresh cycle. Is there a specific process for removing File System permissions from a GPO so that the settings are truly deleted? This GPO contains a myriad of other settings and I would prefer to not have to create a new policy from scratch. - Sean ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin
