Be aware - Exchange is self-limiting. By default, Exchange only keeps around 30
days of logs and will automatically trim them. If you change the file extension
you'll break the automatic trimming.

(Now, if you need to keep the logs, then that's something else entirely....)

Same here. Haven't used the commands a lot yet but I might fire up the readme.
 Seems like a good project.

I can't believe the size of the SMTP logs on Exchange 2010, so I was actually
looking for a solution too. This looks just as good as SyncBack, and free.

Thanks for sharing.

No, it doesn't require Cygwin.

And, I must admit, I moved to 7-zip years ago. It's current and has both a gui
and a command-line version.

I forgot about that, sorry...

The Info-Zip website hasn't been updated in years and the download links don't
work...
Also, curious, does it require Cygwin? If so, meh...

We have a few custom dev'd products we host that generate tons of log files.
They cannot be turned off. (please don't ask why :) ) so after a few weeks or
so, the C: drive fills up.

I am curious what creative solutions people have done out there to deal with
similar issues like this? There is the obvious choice of running some
process/batch that deletes them on a schedule using task manager. anything else?
