Carl Webster Consultant and Citrix Technology Professional <http://dabcc.com/Webster> http://dabcc.com/Webster From: Robert Jackson [mailto:[email protected]] Subject: Terminal Services Clustering Or NLB? We currently have a situation where we have 2 standalone W2K3 R2 Terminal Servers (one acts as a hot spare). The issue we have is that based on the number of users currently requiring access to Terminal Services, we need a rethink in how we can cater for the users. The current production server can no longer cope with the demands. So, we were thinking of moving the users to 2 brand new Windows 2K8 R2 Terminal Servers with increased RAM and HDD (for local storage of My Documents). However we can't determine if we should go the Clustering or NLB route? Any feedback on this would be much appreciated (experience, pitfalls, pros, cons etc). Also I take it no matter what option we choose, we'll need a third server to host the Connection Broker? ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin
