I don't remember the discussion, but surely resolution is the determining 
factor, rather than monitor size? A 24" 640x480 res screen is going to display 
exactly the same as 12" 640x480 res screen.

I seem to recall awhile back that there was a discussion about the "equivalent" 
monitor size to get for the same vertical space of a "standard"
