I was at a customer desk, iPrism firewalled ( local govt agency ) and had
email on my phone for new messages. They had asked about alternatives given
the adobe vulnerabilities, and I stated my preference for FoxIt but though
the consensus might have been a bit different…. But with the original
thread on PDF ‘writers’, then my brain fog was detrimental to my effort,
thanks and sorry.

And I’m back to my system and circuits, so no longer a need.

Any PDF reader that works on XP is going to work on 7. Mostly it's Adobe or
Foxit, pick your poison. Adobe may have better compatibility for complex
PDFs and there's a customization wizard for GPO installs. Not sure whether
Foxit can say the same, but Foxit seems to have fewer security issues.

FWIW recent PDF discussions were about creating them, not reading them. Why
are you unable to search (but still able to send e-mail)?

There was a relatively recent discussion on PDF readers that I'm unable to
search right now... I use FoxIT reader on my home XP system, but wonder what
you recommend for a free reliable PDF reader for a Win7 system here.

Thanks
