Nor do I. It’s a novelty item. In its day, it was such an amazing piece of computing. Like a few of us here, I grew up with it. I had a TRS-80 III, a Timex Sinclair 1000 and a TI 99/4A before, but my favorite was the Commodore. From the time I was around 12 until I was around 16, the Commodore 64 was what I used. I learned to program in BASIC, and then had an add-on called Simon’s BASIC that added a few functions. And the games were great!
But, that was then. Now, this is a Commodore 64 shell with somewhat modern innards. It’s not going to be easy to upgrade components, etc… So, you end up buying it for nostalgia, and then, since it doesn’t even ship with the C64 emulator, you play around with Ubuntu for a while, or maybe install Windows, and then you put it away and go use your laptop or your normal or your desktop with the sleek Logitech keyboard and gobs of RAM.
