I uninstall the old package at every upgrade. Most installs are pretty quick
and it avoids the kind of issues you're describing.

Subject: GPO Deployed MSI Packages

What is you guys practice in the situation where you deploy an MSI, then deploy
an
upgrade to it, and now receive an upgrade to that?

The gpo starts to get ugly as these add up, and the file server with these apps
starts to
accumulate data I could otherwise archive/remove.

What's the least obtrusive way to deal with this, I presume remove all the
packages in
question one by one forcing an uninstallation, then redeploy the new one but
how do
you ensure the order is met and it works correctly?

Thanks,
jlc
