Hi Tobias

I just remembered that I turned off the workarounds for bugs in the PPC 601 processor in the kernel. Your machine should have this CPU if you didn't upgrade it.
I compiled a new kernel and put a new miboot.image on my webspace.
http://home.vrweb.de/internetzel/miboot.image

It still doesn't work.

I guess the only difference while booting between your kernel with mklinux-installer and the new kernel for miboot is in the values of the "IBAT-Lines" at the beginning. No "booting..." or "pmac_init" followed. Sorry.

I just tried an old vmlinux-kernel (2.4.6pre3) to get an idea if I'm completely wrong or not with my kernel options and to get an idea what should follow after "IBAT3...". This kernel boots but exit with panic while I can't mount something on /dev... (I remembered this kernel succeded once with YDL3.0 on my pmac 6100 and looked for it on some old cd's)

Any ideas?
