Yes, it is possible.
But keep in mind that it takes some time to build a kernel on those
machines.
The advantage is that you don't need to setup a cross-development
environment on another system.
If you need further assistance don't hesitate to ask.
I can provide ready-made debianized packages for x86 providing a
complete cross-development environment (gcc, binutils, glibc,etc.)
