hit a cursor key when the splash screen first appears (preffablly down arrow)
You should see : 2.4.27 NuBus - PowerMac
(if it says Debian Install hit the left arrow key)
now hit down arrow:
root: /dev/hda8 should be in bold
delete the 8 and use 7 or 9 whatever your linux root is, if you dont know
just try, dont think you can hurt anything but time and temper :)
once you find out what it is you can edit yaboot later on to save time
typing it in a boottime
hope it helps alittle!

Tobias, I may have done this wrong. I probably am far away from the
right way to do this.
I found the sourceforge site, downloaded the miboot image (from feb 5th)
booted with it, and switched disks to install a standard debian sarge
ppc (downloaded from debian.org)
I get a kernal panic now when I boot with miboot and then select 'boot'
or 'nubus 2.4.27 from the menu"
I may just have to set some type of parameter, because it is saying that
it can't mount root filesystem on hda8. Please append a correct root=
boot option. Where do I set this?
Thanks!
