Hey Grant,
fbdev should be right, and you are correct about the pci being  
wrong.  Did you look for the Autoconfig tool I mentioned in a  
previous reply?  I doesn't always work but it can't hurt to try that  
first.  I am in the middle of a move and my nubus mac was one of the  
computers I couldn't get in the first load.  I am hoping to get it in  
the next few days.  As as soon as I do that I will be able to look at  
my XFree86Config and remember the exact setting to put in place of  
the "pci".  Sorry I can't remember that off the top of my head (at  
least not well enough to trust).
