Hi Florian, Nice work so far! Which is the last line that executes before the shutdown; insert some debug commands. Perhaps the PMU interrupts are enabled while the must not be enabled. Use the NMI to find out the Interrupt configuration. Would you like to mail me your version of the via-pmu.c?

I got the kernel running to the point where it tries to mount the filesystem (IDE drivers disabled so far). I managed to get a minimal framebuffer driver running for the PowerBook 1400 as well. A bluish penguin at the upper left corner is already there :) Though the PMU is still in the works. I started to integrate Tobias' modifications of the PMU driver, which up to now do not help in preventing the PowerBook of being turned off at random points in time. May be the CUDA part is playing a role here as well... At the moment the PowerBook always turns off after entering via_pmu_start() in via-pmu.c. find_via_pmu() seems to be OK. Suggestions (Alex/Tobias?) welcome!
