Congratulations! Well, the NuBus Performas are very hacked and crippled in hardware as far as I remember. And hence it may as well be necessary to use unclean software routines to interface that bad done hardware. What I want to say is that the Performa is (IMO) the family of NuBus machines that's less worth the effort of spending much time in getting it work perfectly.
