Yeah , I gave it a shot this past weekend (pretty slow), seems like Nuke needs more tools/support for doing something like this, since scan data is becoming more popular asset for location shoots, nuke can really capitalize with some built in tools, ability to import various formats and handle large data sets quickly, point cloud scaling and decimation/reduction as well as scene reconstruction for camera projections would be excellent tools to include in upcoming versions. Seems like there are steps in that direction but they need to be ironed out & built upon.
