There is a video demoing this in Nuke from NAB about the asset management api integration into Nuke (which is based on the Katana one). You can find it in the video below at 27:00 min in. It was already done on the timeline as ftrack was using it for Hiero a couple years ago. The Nuke node graph part was still in the works. You would have to ask the Foundry about when they are planning on adding this.
