Not sure if this is what you're after, but if you need to select a point from the PointCloud, and get its coordinates (or put an Axis in there), you can do the following:
While on the 3D view, activate "vertex selection mode", select the point(s) in the cloud that you're interested in, and then use the "Snap menu" of an Axis, Card, etc... to "Translate" it to that position. If you were after the 2d coordinate and not the 3d one, just run the Axis through a Reconcile3D.
