In regards to the recent price adjustment - Like everyone else who's a
freelancer, facility, and/or personal business owner with their own licenses...
A business needs to make money to survive, pay your wages, and grow, period.
Moaning about minor price adjustments
given the 'instability' of the currency market now is really not going to lead
to any better solutions or results for anyone, and given the kind of investment
required to grow an entity such as The Foundry into the future, Carlyle may not
be your favorite, but investment is something they know more about than you do.
It's also just one more thing to complain about, as chances are the price may
change again in the future to reflect future adjustments, which historically
have shifted back and forth in favor to different players.
Anyway, without further offending anyone, might I suggest the following feature
request, to coincide with the upcoming maintenance price increase? (i.e. to
soften the 'blow' a little?)
This is an open sourced learning tracker called Predator... It's a bit rough
around the edges, but the idea is quite straightforward:

I'm sure with a little bit of engineering support it could be 'beefed' up to
more accurate stability and per-frame-correlation and error correction. It
seems particularly useful for those very long shots that go on forever but the
feature continually changes over time, especially if it calculates per axis 3D
rotation, etc.
I don't know, perhaps it isn't anywhere near as good as Nuke's. But it would
be
nice to incorporate new advancements and provide multiple options for varying
tools, as there is no single tracker that "rules them all" for example.
Just some thoughts and my .02 cents, don't bother replying with hate/reaction
mails, I won't be interested. Just trying to offer some reciprocation ideas,
as
this thread on the price increase has gone off on a tangent.
