I have my cache set to 75GB, and the cache directory is 88GB..

However, there is a tilecache directory which is about 17GB, and the actual cache directories (aa,a0..ff etc) are about 75GB:

$ du -sh tilecache/
17G tilecache/
$ ls | grep tilecache | xargs du -shc
...
71G total

Not sure the distinction between the cache and tile-cache (I would guess the tilecache is related to OFX nodes like Furnace etc?), nor if there is a way to control it's size separately

Hm, on second thought.. I didn't think used the disc cache when rendering..? By that I mean "nuke -x myscript.nk" shouldn't create anything in the cache directory

Hi there!

I have some problems with the disc cache on my render machines
(Linux). We use Nuke 6.2 with Rush (actual version) as the render
management software. I'm setting two environment variables for Nuke
in my Rush submit script: NUKE_DISK_CACHE and NUKE_DISK_CACHE_GB.
Setting the path of the disc cache folder works fine. So the
environment variables seem to work. But the folder is growing and
growing and growing. Limiting the size with the NUKE_DISK_CACHE_GB
variable doesn't seem to work at all.

I just tested it this morning: deleted the old folder to start from
scratch and set the NUKE_DISK_CACHE_GB value to 1, which should limit
the size to 1GB, right? After a few hours, the folder already has
2.7GB of data and is still growing.

Is there any logic behind that behaviour? Am I doing something wrong?
Is there a way to make the limiting work?

Thanks for any hints and ideas,

Abraham
