Yeah, I came up against this too. Weird that Nuke's own point cloud
doesn't work with its' mesher. It's on my list of things to do to see
what can be done with NDK to create a meshable point cloud.

A while ago I wrote a script to pack LIDAR scan data into a series of
EXR's (where the RGB pixel values were XYZ positions), then I was
hoping to meshify the points exactly as you describe (PositionToPoints
+ PoissonMesh)
..but it seems the geo output by the node (GL point?) does not support
normals - tried setting dummy normals with the Normals node, but it
made no difference
Couldn't find any way of doing this in Nuke (ended up using MeshLab)..
I was half-planning on making similar node which output vertexes, and
thinking about it now, writing the points to an .obj file would be
easy (but not particularly convenient)

Is there a chance to generate poisson mesh from point cloud made via
positionToPoints? I plug in position pass as well as normal pass, but
poisson still errors that he needs normals.
