Yes, Franks got it. Example: Nuke's 6.3 beta particles moving from foreground to midground.... and a depth key's luminance (particle depth) scaling each particle's bokeh (circle of confusion) from large to small as they move away from camera.
This happens on a per particle basis, not uniformly on all particles at once.
